After a consultation to determine what peel is right for you, your nurse injector will clean your skin and look for any areas of broken skin or irritation. She will then explain the process and instructions needed for follow up at home. The peel is quick and easy to apply. The solution is applied to a gauze pad, and several passes are made across the entire face to deliver the medication. It has an antiseptic smell and can feel hot and tingly when first applied. It Is mixed with a numbing solution, so after the first few seconds, the skin will start to get numb.
Once applied, it will stay on the skin for several hours before washing it off at home. Your skin will have a tan/slight orange glow until it gets washed off. You will be sent home with daily instructions, towelettes for reapplication, as well as calming cream and sunscreen. Peeling most often starts around day 3 and will continue through day 7.
PRX-T33® is an incredibly effective TCA skin treatment without the downtime associated with other peels on the market. It is a non-injectable bio-revitalizer that induces a dermal bio-stimulation without harming the skin. It is not a peel because it does not cause frost. It acts deep within the tissues to help with hyperpigmentation, age spots, fine lines, pore size, sagging skin, sun damage, scars, melasma, acne, and stretch marks.
PRX has 33% TCA, which has long been used for peeling and treating damaged skin. The addition of H2O2 in low concentrations promotes wound healing and helps to remodel the extracellular matrix and regulate inflammation. Kojic acid is an effective skin-whitener and depigmenting agent. It plays an important role in inhibiting the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation that can occur in susceptible individuals.
This formulation provides all of the benefits of a high percentage TCA peel but without the associated side effects (discomfort and peeling) and downtime thanks to the addition of the Hydrogen compound. This allows the TCA to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin; this intense stimulation creates immediate hydration, firmness, and tightening of the skin while leaving the top layer of the skin in tact.
PRX-T33® also promotes stimulation of fibroblasts and growth factors without causing inflammation or damaging the skin. The treatment can be performed at any time of year, unlike peeling, because it is not photo-sensitizing, and it is suitable for all skin types. The results are immediate. Each treatment builds upon the last. 3 - 5 are recommended for best results (individual results do vary).
After a consultation to determine what peel is right for you, your nurse injector will clean your skin and look for any areas of broken skin or irritation. She will then explain the process and apply the peel. The solution is applied directly to the skin using a syringe with an applicator tip. Using pressure and her fingertips, the nurse injector will massage the solution into the skin, neck, or selected area. She will apply 3-5 applications depending on your skin type. This peel takes about 15 minutes to apply and is painless. Some people feel some slight tingling. Once finished, the solution will be washed off, and a moisturizing cream will be massaged into the skin. Your skin will feel tight and give off a glow that lasts several days. You will be sent home with 2 products to help the skin maintain the effects of the peel.
