At what age should I start to get Neurotoxins?

It’s never too early or late to start with “Toxins.” If you are in your 20’s and starting to see early signs of aging, “Toxins” can be preventative and keep wrinkling from worsening. Additionally, if you are in your 70’s or older, you will find that “toxins” will relax many of your wrinkles and help you look younger and more refreshed.

Who should not get Neurotoxins?

You should not get “toxins” if you have a hypersensitivity to botulinum toxin, allergies to cow’s milk protein or eggs, infected entry site, Multiple Severe Allergies/Hypersensitivity to medications, Sensitivity/Allergy to Lidocaine, Myasthenia Gravis, Hepatitis, Eye Disease, Vision Problems, Multiple Sclerosis, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s Disease, Neurological Disorders, Lambert-Eaton Syndrome, are Pregnant or nursing. Autoimmune diseases need clearance from their specialist before considering any injectable.

I had filler done elsewhere, but I’m not happy. Can you fix it?

Yes! There are times when the outcome is not what was hoped for, such as when filler migrates into areas that look distorted and unnatural or when hard lumps and bumps have been left. The use of Hyaluronic Acid fillers has the advantage of being able to dissolve unwanted filler. Many cases will require complete dissolving before starting fresh. However, certain cases can be fixed without completely dissolving old filler. At Blooming Medical Aesthetics, we take pride in using a slow and steady approach to achieving the look you were hoping for.

How long do I need to wait to have other facial treatments after a chemical feel?

Injectables may be performed in the same appointment as The Perfect DermaTM Peel. It is recommended to apply the peel first.

Laser Treatments

Wait 4 weeks or more post peel before performing a laser treatment, or 4 weeks post laser to perform the peel (depending on the depth of the laser).

Perform two weeks post-peel, or perform peel at least one week post-HydraFacial.

For patients with very oily or thick skin, using microdermabrasion as a prep to increase peel penetration can be helpful. However, it is not necessary and is not advised for those with sensitive skin or for first-time peel patients.

Wait 4 weeks between peel and micro-needling treatments.
